It’s natural for Yat-Kha to take a stab at ‘Tundra’s Ghosts (Prelude)’ considering her long-professed love for 2 Unlimited. Jim Jones has compared writing for Yat-Kha’s new album to that on ‘Tundra’s Ghost’s’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. When you buy a Yat-Kha album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Chaa-Hol (Tuvian Folk Song)
This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Simple and heartfelt closing track Azianz Churec (Heart Of Asia) closes Tundra’s Ghost’s on a high note. The first time I listened to Teve-Haya (Tuvian Folk Song) I was struck by its amazing sound. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Antropofagy is marvelous work of Yat-Kha. Spring Hunting On Sable is the most memorable and cool. I like the agression and power of Haiyr-khan (Mounting Spirit-hider). After few listenings I started to like Khunguray (Tuvian Tramp Song) more and more. Mejegei Valley (Tuvian Folk Song) - A classic Yat-Kha track. Shaman (Old Shaman Song) is gorgeous song though, very addictive. All of songs on Tundra’s Ghost’s and have something to say letting alone Hunter’s Breakfast. After about the third Arguim Sarym (Tuvian Love Song) listen through, I began to believe this song is Yat-Kha’s essence. Tundra’s Ghosts (Epilogue) is one of the coolest songs Yat-Kha has ever recorded.
