Since completing 1995’s ‘Via Caliente’, William Orbit fulfilled their contract with Blue Note Records and where under no obligation to release another album. ‘Strange Cargo’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Strange Cargo carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. William Orbit “Strange Cargo” is an amazing album.
Fire and Mercy is a very catchy tune. Jump Jet - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. I hope to keep hearing William Orbit works for a long time to come. When listening to The Secret Garden, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Out of the Ice makes a person feel exquisite. Don’t judge Scorpion on the first listening. Riding to Rio marked the continuation of William Orbit in style evolution. Jimmy’s Jag very upbeat. Album opener The Mighty Limpopo is a bright, upbeat ditty. Theme Dream - A classic William Orbit track.
