On The Roof Is On Fire album, Westbam have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Westbam’s album The Roof Is On Fire falls to No. 2 with 907,000, a sales slide of 66%. This thirteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Westbam has. Exciting stuff.
Once you hear Miami Bass, you will listen to it over and over. Monkey Town to me is the best you can get from Westbam. The sound in … And Party is really warm and Westbam’s signature voice is still very much present. Alarm Clock was the first single release from the album The Roof Is On Fire. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on The Roof Is On Fire is Bring That Beat Back. Hold Me Back has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Westbam’s strong vocals come to the fore. Vocals of Westbam in The Wall really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Monkey Say - Monkey Do is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Westbam released so far. Cold Stomper - A strong beat. Saxophone - Check out that bassline! It’s Over - Well, here we get a bit more meaning.
