Lead single “Whispering Wind” and “Loader” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This is one of the best Cd’s Weirdstone has dropped to date. While no new Weirdstone album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1995 tour in South America. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Loader make listening to Weirdstone like being in some sort of time warp. Montana Rain is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Stand to Fall defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. When I WAs a Kid is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Bloodtwon (3:38) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Burning Bridges actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Weirdstone’s face. War stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Waiting for Your Love still maintains something of a specific flourish. Eyes is absolutely incredible. Gypsy which is my favorite is a truly Weirdstone sounding song. This track is just fantastic from start to finish.
