Firme isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Firme carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Voodoo Glow Skulls energies, virtually a rebirth. I Love Firme from start to finish!
Closet Monster - I just love it. Charlie Brown has a fun tempo. Drunk Tank is the more seemingly obscure song on Firme that bear up best to repeated listening. Blew our minds when we first heard Jocks From Hell. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Trouble Walking is my favorite song on Firme. Give Me Someone I Can Trust is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Empty Bottles is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Firme have ended. Fat Randy - A catchy, upbeat tune. I can’t stop playing Thrift Shop Junkie. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Method To This Madness is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Construction is a song to enjoy for years to come. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. I like the agression and power of Nicotine Fit. Land Of Misfit Toys is beautiful, yet underrated track.
