This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Virgin Steele. ‘Life Among The Ruins’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. This album has some very good songs like Sex Religion Machine and Love Is Pain. This is my first Virgin Steele Album and i must say i am blown away.
It’s such an underrated song. In Jet Black the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Invitation is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. I Dress In Black is another strong production from Virgin Steele. Crown On Thorns very upbeat. Cage Of Angels rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. In Never Believed In Good-Bye Virgin Steele is at his best. I like Too Hot To Handle because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Love’s Gone - Virgin Steele first major hit. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Wild Fire Woman, which shows, blatantly, how much Virgin Steele has evolved as a singer. Cry Forever is one of the best records ever. Virgin Steele sings Haunting The Last Hours in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Last Rose Of Summer is so unique, as each one of the songs is.
