Lead single “Indugo” and “Renessaince” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Since completing 1995’s ‘Indugo’, Various Artists fulfilled their contract with Mute Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Self-described as Pop with lots of words, Various Artists comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. I wish that “The rite of strings with aldimeola jean lucponty” album was instrumental.
Renessaince is worth the money. Songtojohn gets you up and jumping. The sound of Chilean Pipesong is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. I can’t stop playing Topanga. Morocco is a very catchy tune. Although Change Of Life is very melodic it is far from sad. Only one song from The rite of strings with aldimeola jean lucponty named La Cancion De Sofia really got me. Memory Canyon - Various Artists first major hit.
