While no new Various Artists album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1995 tour in Europe. Various Artists had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Various Artists was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Various Artists and Sanremo 1995 together. Sanremo 1995 constantly brilliant.
In Danilo Amerio (Bisogno d’amore) the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Lyrics of Giorgia (Come Saprei) are precise and evocative. Andrea Bocelli (Con te partiro) has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Valeria Visconti (E con te) - Various Artists first major hit. Fiorello (Finalmente tu) is the first taste of the new album. Gianni Morandi e Barbara Cola (In amore) is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Sanremo 1995. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Massimo Ranieri (La Vestaglia) because the melody in the chorus is so good. I find myself hearing bits of Rocco Galilei (Le cose di ieri) here and there throughout my waking hours. The opening track Fedele Boccassini (Le foglie) is very much like you would expect from other albums. Gloria (Le voci di dentro) is Various Artists’s best work in years. Gigi Finizio (Lo specchio dei pensieri) is one of the best records ever. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Gio Tonno (Padre e padrone) is probably the highlight of the album. 883 (Senza averti qui) has a fun tempo. Lorella Cuccarini (Un altro amore no) - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Drupi (Voglio una donna) is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction.
