It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Various Artists energies, virtually a rebirth. ten years ago, Various Artists briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Made In England”. Lead single “Believe” and “Made In England” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. I wish that “Made in england” album was instrumental.
Made In England is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. House - For me, this is the best of the album. Cold is probably one of Various Artists’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. I was truly moved when I heard Pain. In Belfast you won’t find any flashy solos. Latitude is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Please is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Made in england couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Man. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Made in england. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Made in england is Blessed.
