Various Artists was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Various Artists and Love other obsessions together. Love other obsessions isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. This twelve-song debut EP shows the promise that Various Artists has. This album is in perfect progression from Various Artists!
This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Serengeti is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. I came to like Fine Time To Explain. Third Street is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Love other obsessions have ended. Group Therapy is a bit different from Various Artists stereotypical stuff. The first time I listened to Horizon’s Edge I was struck by its marvelous sound. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. On Liberty Road one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. As always, Various Artists’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Baby Dreams gives good insight into the truths.
