There is so much to love about Vanilla Ice, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. I am not a real Alternative music type of person, but i have to admit ‘To The Extreme’ really is amazing. On the Ireland charts, superstar Vanilla Ice’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. To The Extreme is the best essence of Vanilla Ice.
Yo Vanilla - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Stop That Train - My least favorite song on this album. If you are a Vanilla Ice fan, you will love Hooked. Ice Is Workin It - This one is lively and fun. Life Is A Fantasy is one of the best records ever. After few listenings I started to like Play That Funky Music (remix) more and more. From the moment you listen to Dancin’ you’re hooked. Go Ill - A strong beat. It’s A Party motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Juice To Get Loose Boy is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. This track is full of harmonies and gets To The Extreme off to a relaxing start. Once Rosta Man gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. I Love You is probably the most interesting track on To The Extreme. Havin’ A Roni is almost impossible to review.
