IF YOU LIKE ALL Vangelis’S SONG GO FOR IT! Event Of Excellence [Live In Holland’91] carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Vangelis on ‘Opening’. This is my first Vangelis Album and i must say i am blown away.
I now have Chariots Of Fire as one of my personal favorites. Spiral - arguably the best track on Event Of Excellence [Live In Holland’91] album. In Antarctica [Part 7] you won’t find any flashy solos. China is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Glorianna [With Markella Hatziano] is a exquisite, simple song by Vangelis at the top of his game. Albedo 0.39 is the albums biggest surprise. Mask [Part 2] - A strong beat. So much energy, so exciting a sound.I find myself hearing bits of Kinematic here and there throughout my waking hours. Mask [Part 5] sets the tone for the entire album. I can’t stop humming along Hymne.
