There is no doubt that Vangelis has talent. I am not a real Electronic music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Blade Runner Private Release’ really is amazing. Self-described as Electronic with lots of words, Vangelis comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Exciting stuff.
Main Titles and Prologue - arguably the best track on Blade Runner Private Release album. Los Angeles, November one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Deckard Meets Rachel is astounding work of Vangelis. Musically Bicycle Riders is superior to other tracks in Blade Runner Private Release. Memories Of Green as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Blade Runner Blues makes a person feel perfect. Deckard’s Dream is cool song though, very addictive. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. If I Didn’t Care which is my favorite is a truly Vangelis sounding song. After few listenings I started to like Love Theme more and more. The Podigal Son Brings - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Dangerous Days is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Wounded Animals is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Tears In Rain is one of my favorite songs by Vangelis. End Titles - a classic song. One More Kiss Dear is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit.
