This thirteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Vangelis has. This disc has all of the essential Vangelis classics. ‘Blade Runner’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. This is what good Soundtrack should be.
Blush Response motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Vangelis. Rachel’s Song is outstanding work of Vangelis. Love Theme is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Voice of Vangelis in One More Kiss, Dear is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. Music and lyrics of Blade Runner Blues creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. This track is a great song that still never gets old. I now have Tales Of The Future as one of my personal favorites. Damask Rose has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Vangelis’s strong vocals come to the fore. Blade Runner [End Titles] is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Tears In Rain had me crying as I was able to relate so well.
