On the Russia charts, superstar Vanessa Mae’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. There is so much to love about Vanessa Mae, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Since completing 1995’s ‘Toccata and Fugue in D minor’, Vanessa Mae fulfilled their contract with Blue Note Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Vanessa Mae “The Violin Player” is an amazing album.
Excellent vocals and musical performances. The sound in Classical Gas is really warm and Vanessa Mae’s signature voice is still very much present. Theme from ‘Caravans’ rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Vanessa Mae must have run out of lyrics on the next track Jazz Will Eat Itself. Widescreen pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Vanessa Mae emotions are reflected through Tequila Mockingbird. Once you hear City Theme, you will listen to it over and over. Red Hot motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Classical Gas (Reggae Version) one is one of the better boring ones.
