This twelve-song debut EP shows the promise that Umbra Et Imago has. It’s natural for Umbra Et Imago to take a stab at ‘Intro’ considering her long-professed love for Madonna. This track is clearly meant to showcase Umbra Et Imago’s vocal abilities. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Genealogie Der Moral is my favorite song on Gedankein Eines Vampires. Der Kleine Tod gives good insight into the truths. This track is a great song that still never gets old. Wake Up to me is the best you can get from Umbra Et Imago. Umbra Et Imago is one of artists that allow his songs like Devotion to stand on their own and be heard. Only one song from Gedankein Eines Vampires named Sail Away really got me. Umbra Et Imago breathes new life into the music in Nachste Ausfahrt. Wolfsfrau is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Mit Dir (Swinging Session Bonus Track) actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Umbra Et Imago’s face.
