It has been fourteen years UGK’ last studio CD, “Super Tight” which won Array Academy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. There is so much to love about UGK, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Super Tight carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. This album is awesome.
It took me a little time but I ended up loving Underground. This is probably my favorite song on the album. I Left It Wet For You - A catchy, upbeat tune. Feds In Town pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Pocket Full Of Stones, Pt.2 is the more seemingly obscure song on Super Tight that bear up best to repeated listening. Front, Back & Side To Side is beautiful, yet underrated track. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Stoned Junkee - To me, this is the best song on the Super Tight. I listened to the opening track Pussy Got Me Dizzy and liked it a lot. Some call Three Sixteens from Super Tight as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen.
