This -song debut EP shows the promise that Toure Kunda has. For older fans Dance Of The Leaves will put a massive smile accross your face. This is the first studio album from Toure Kunda since bad diagnosis in 1993. This album is a scorcher!
Salaly Muhamed - A classic Toure Kunda track. Waar is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Manoir - a classic song. I can’t stop humming along Casamance. Lyrics of Ninki Nanka are precise and evocative. Kambe is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Music in Africa Lelly is amazing as in all tracks of Dance Of The Leaves. Soye - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Amadou-Tilo - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Casa Di Mansa is another favourite of mine. Salya is the more seemingly obscure song on Dance Of The Leaves that bear up best to repeated listening. Toure Kunda is astounding. Natalia is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Babacady sets the tone for the entire album. Musically Mamadiyo is superior to other tracks in Dance Of The Leaves. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Toure Kunda.
