It has been nine years Tom Aragon’ last studio CD, “Friends” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. ‘Friends’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Friends isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Tom Aragon “Friends” is an amazing album.
When I listen to Shambala in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Tom Aragon offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Lost City to me is the best you can get from Tom Aragon. The sound in Song Of The Dragonfly is really warm and Tom Aragon’s signature voice is still very much present. I now have Initiation as one of my personal favorites. Within the first few notes of Ceremony it’s perfectly clear that Tom Aragon is living this song. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. The opening track Castle Chimes is very much like you would expect from other albums. When listening to Warpath, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable.
