Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Tocotronic on ‘Ich Muss Reden,Auch Wenn Ich Schweigen…’. Self-described as Indie with lots of words, Tocotronic comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. This is the first studio album from Tocotronic since bad diagnosis in 1995. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Du Bist Ganz Schon Bedient
Du Bist Ganz Schon Bedient is a song to enjoy for years to come. I think Gott Sei Dank Haben Wir Beide Uns Gehabt is the best song Tocotronic has ever done. Ich Hab 23 Jahre Mit Mir Verbracht is a strong cut, one of many. Listening to Ich Werde Nie Mehr Alleine Sein you can hear that Tocotronic has still amazing chemistry with band members. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Ich Mag Dich Einfach Nicht Mehr So is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Ich Bin Neu In Der Hamburger Schule is one of the best records ever. This is probably my favorite song on the album. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Hauptsache Ist, which shows, blatantly, how much Tocotronic has evolved as a singer.
