It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Thurston Moore energies, virtually a rebirth. Psychic Hearts isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. There were many famous songs of Thurston Moore available. Such great and happy songs.
Ono Soul is a marvelous sing-along. This is probably my favorite song on the album. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. In Patti Smith Math Scratch full palet of sound is used by Thurston Moore to accentuate the presentation. Blues From Beyond The Grave is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Psychic Hearts. See Through Playmate is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Simple and heartfelt closing track Hang Out closes Psychic Hearts on a high note. Thurston Moore has astounded me with this amazing track. Tranquilizer - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Staring Statues presents the cool mix of instruments on Psychic Hearts. Cindy (Rotten Tanx) - This is a very lively song. Some of the arrangements found on Psychic Hearts are surprisingly edgy. I can’t stop playing Female Cop. Elegy For All The Dead Rock Stars - A catchy, upbeat tune.
