Throbbing Gristle was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Throbbing Gristle and Funk Beyond Jazz together. After seeing Invocation- Vision Serpent/Summoring- Shield Jaguar/Rite Of Death- Balam-lx, I had to have a good Throbbing Gristle cd. There is no doubt that Throbbing Gristle has talent. Smart music for smart people.
Persuasion- Lady Xoc is a medium tempo tune. Music of Still Waking- Bird Jaguar is gentle, never overbearing. Elipse- Manche Chol is outstanding work of Throbbing Gristle. Don’t judge Murder Thee Abyss- Bac-T’ul on the first listening. Throbbing Gristle emotions are reflected through Perforator God- Quadripartite. Spirits Flying-Chac- Xib-Chac one of the best in my collection. Disciplined- Paddler Gods is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right.
