Norland Wind carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. This fourteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Thomas Loefke has. Thomas Loefke was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Thomas Loefke and Norland Wind together. This album is awesome.
Norland Wind is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. All of songs on Norland Wind and have something to say letting alone Dance For The Hedgehog’s Feet. An Early Morning is a bit different from Thomas Loefke stereotypical stuff. The Tipsy Elk - I like this one. Siubhan Ni Dhuibhir on Norland Wind is solid and easy to listen to. Tor Mor is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. I have all of Thomas Loefke’s tracks and Life Of A Miner is probably the most his introspective effort. Simple and heartfelt closing track Moose On The Loose closes Norland Wind on a high note. The Ladybird is probably the most interesting track on Norland Wind. The Promenade without a doubt is the standout song of Norland Wind. The Shamrock Soil No More is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Loch Ossian is worth the money.
