I am not a real Rock: Pop-Rock music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Day For Night’ really is amazing. This album has some very good songs like Grace, Too and Daredevil. The Tragically Hip’s debut, ‘Day For Night’, does not fit easily into one genre. Grace, Too and Daredevil is really good.
Daredevil is one of the coolest songs The Tragically Hip has ever recorded. Greasy Jungle is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Yawning Or Snarling catches attention immediately, Fire In The Hole is probably the most interesting track on Day For Night. I came to like So Hard Done By. Opening track Nautical Disaster shows the best of The Tragically Hip. Thugs is astounding work of The Tragically Hip. Inevitability Of Death - The Tragically Hip first major hit. After few listenings I started to like Scared more and more. One listen to the sheer beauty of An Inch An Hour was all I needed. Emergency presents the perfect mix of instruments on Day For Night. Musically Titanic Terrarium is superior to other tracks in Day For Night. After you’ve listened to Impossibilium, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate.
