After debuting at No. 1 last week, The Temptations’s album The Temptations: The Ultimate Collection falls to No. 2 with 850,000, a sales slide of 99%. Since completing 1994’s ‘My Girl (A Cappella)’, The Temptations fulfilled their contract with Capitol Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This is the first studio album from The Temptations since bad diagnosis in 1994. This album is awesome.
The song feels complete. My Girl - The Temptations first major hit. The Way You Do The Things You Do is probably the most interesting track on The Temptations: The Ultimate Collection. Angel Doll is worth the money. The Temptations sings his heart out in You’re My Everything. All I Need is a amazing sing-along. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Ain’t Too Proud To Beg is my favorite song on The Temptations: The Ultimate Collection. Get Ready - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Don’t Look Back is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Since I Lost My Baby is a strong cut, one of many. After about the third It’s Growing listen through, I began to believe this song is The Temptations’s essence. Cloud Nine is the perfect blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. I Wish It Would Rain has a fun tempo. The Temptations allows each song to breathe and flourish. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of The Temptations. Papa Was A Rollin’ Stone is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me) - I like this one. Ball Of Confusion (That’s What The World Is Today) is really a nice song to relax and listen too. I Can’t Get Next To You (2:55) - Oh, this is one of my favorites!
