It has been thirteen years The Smashing Pumpkins’ last studio CD, “Siamese Dream” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This disc has all of the essential The Smashing Pumpkins classics. Siamese Dream isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Quiet
Don’t judge Quiet on the first listening. Today - arguably the best track on Siamese Dream album. Hummer is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Still going through Siamese Dream and coming to appreciate Rocket more and more with every listen. Disarm is another favourite of mine. Soma is a bit of a show-tune. Geek U.S.A. is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Mayonaise is a bit different from The Smashing Pumpkins stereotypical stuff. Spaceboy presents the excellent mix of instruments on Siamese Dream. Silverfuck - This one is lively and fun. Sweet Sweet is outstanding work of The Smashing Pumpkins. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Luna.
