nine years ago, The Smashing Pumpkins briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Frail and Bedazzled”. Pisces Iscariot isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. It’s natural for The Smashing Pumpkins to take a stab at ‘Soothe’ considering her long-professed love for 2 Unlimited. This album is in perfect progression from The Smashing Pumpkins!
Frail and Bedazzled is probably one of The Smashing Pumpkins’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Plume is the more seemingly obscure song on Pisces Iscariot that bear up best to repeated listening. Nice and different song. Voice and instruments in Blew Away complement each other. Pissant motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. The Smashing Pumpkins has astounded me with this amazing track. Music of Obscured is gentle, never overbearing. The song Landslide ending is my favorite… so catchy! Starla - I like this one. Blue is a striking and quite long song. Charming song, great melody. You have to get essence of the La Dolly Vita’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Spaced had me crying as I was able to relate so well.
