This twelve-song debut EP shows the promise that The Porkers has. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of The Porkers on ‘Alcohol’. Since The Porkers last CD (Grunt!) on Sparrow Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
A unique and uplifting song. I can’t stop humming along BUSH Turkey. Buds for Brains has a fun tempo. California Sun (Big Kahuna Mix) is probably one of The Porkers’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. A great put together song. Des’s Humble Pies (The Cake Mix) is a fine track on any terms. Earthquakin’ is The Porkers’s best work in years. Musically Goin’ Off is superior to other tracks in Grunt!. Mongoloid is a striking and quite long song. Woman gives taste of what makes The Porkers special as a musician.
