The Orb was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from The Orb and Orbus Terrarum together. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by The Orb. I am not a real Ambient music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Orbus Terrarum’ really is amazing. Such great and happy songs.
Plateau is a perfect, simple song by The Orb at the top of his game. Such hits like Oxbow Lakes will leave you hooked. Montagne D’or (Der Gute Berg) is the more seemingly obscure song on Orbus Terrarum that bear up best to repeated listening. There is amazing mix of music in White River Junction. Occidental - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Listening to Slug Dub you can hear that The Orb has still amazing chemistry with band members.
