This disc has all of the essential The Legendary Pink Dots classics. Chemical Playschool Volume 8 isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. When you buy a The Legendary Pink Dots album, you know exactly what you’re getting! I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about The Legendary Pink Dots ever.
Cease your lonely mourning - This is a very lively song. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Chemical Playschool Volume 8. I have all of The Legendary Pink Dots’s tracks and Catch a match. A bang bang. A Flashing fist O’crackerjack. A smack. A lick. A char char. You’re all burned out. is probably the most his introspective effort. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. The Artificial Silence is a medium tempo tune. A Chrome Zone in Powder Park is a great opener for Chemical Playschool Volume 8. Music of Pandora’s Socks is gentle, never overbearing. Andromeda Suite is pretty funky and mellow. The sound in Pastorial is really warm and The Legendary Pink Dots’s signature voice is still very much present.
