After debuting at No. 1 last week, The Jackson 5’s album Soulsation! (25th Anniversary Collection) CD3 falls to No. 2 with 453,000, a sales slide of 71%. This album has some very good songs like The Life Of The Party and I Am Love - Parts 1 and 2. This disc has all of the essential The Jackson 5 classics. IT makes me wanna dance!
I Am Love - Parts 1 and 2 is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Music of If I Don’t Love You This Way is gentle, never overbearing. Mama I Gotta A Brand New Thing (Don’t Say No) is one of these floating songs. Forever Came Today still maintains something of a specific flourish. All of songs on Soulsation! (25th Anniversary Collection) CD3 and have something to say letting alone Body Language (Do The Love Dance). The Jackson 5 sings his heart out in All I Do Is Think Of You. It’s A Moving Violation is a strong cut, one of many. This is one hell of a track. Honey Love is nothing but pure genius. I like to sing along with That’s How Love Goes, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Daddy’s Home has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Just A Little Bit Of You is probably the highlight of the album. Love Is The Thing You Need is a very catchy tune. The Eternal Light - Check out that bassline! Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. You’re My Best Friend, My Love is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Joyful Jukebox Music is another strong production from The Jackson 5. Music and lyrics of Love Don’t Wanna Leave creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming.
