On the England charts, superstar The Jackson 5’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Since The Jackson 5 last CD (Soulsation! (25th Anniversary Collection) CD1) on Columbia Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of The Jackson 5 energies, virtually a rebirth. This album is a scorcher!
Who’s Lovin’ You as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. When I listen to You’ve Changed in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Stand! motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Can You Remember is perfect. ABC is cool song though, very addictive. The Love You Save the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Soulsation! (25th Anniversary Collection) CD1. First time I heard La La (Means I Love You) was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.I’ll Bet You is a strong cut, one of many. (Come ‘Round Here) I’m The One You Need is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. After about the third The Young Folks listen through, I began to believe this song is The Jackson 5’s essence. I like to sing along with I’ll Be There, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Goin’ Back To Indiana stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Although Can I See You In The Morning is very melodic it is far from sad. Music in Mama’s Pearl is perfect as in all tracks of Soulsation! (25th Anniversary Collection) CD1. The Jackson 5 emotions are reflected through Reach In. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Soulsation! (25th Anniversary Collection) CD1. Never Can Say Goodbye is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Maybe Tomorrow is the albums biggest surprise. This track is a great song that still never gets old.
