This album has some very good songs like Higwaymen and Mama Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys. I am not a real Country music type of person, but i have to admit ‘The Highwaymen Live’ really is amazing. The Highwaymen’s debut, ‘The Highwaymen Live’, does not fit easily into one genre. Such great and happy songs.
Mama Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys is the first taste of the new album. Trouble Man - I just love it. Amanda is a bit of a show-tune. I like the idea behind Ain’t No Good Chain Gang. Folsom Prison Blues is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Ring of Fire is a bit different from The Highwaymen stereotypical stuff. Help Me Make It Through The Night makes a person feel excellent. Best of All Possible World has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Once you hear City of New Orleans, you will listen to it over and over. Always On My Mind pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. The Highwaymen breathes new life into the music in Silver Stallions. Last Cowboy Song is a very catchy tune. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of The Highwaymen. I like the agression and power of They Killed Him. Musically Me And Bobby McGee is superior to other tracks in The Highwaymen Live. Ragged Old Flag is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. As always, The Highwaymen’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. A unique and uplifting song. Big River is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Boy Named Sure gives good insight into the truths. All of songs on The Highwaymen Live and have something to say letting alone Why Me (Lord). Put Luckenbach, Texas into car stereo for your highway driving On The Road Again is nothing but pure genius.
