After debuting at No. 1 last week, The Goo Goo Dolls’s album Boy Named Goo falls to No. 2 with 842,000, a sales slide of 90%. For older fans Boy Named Goo will put a massive smile accross your face. The Goo Goo Dolls’s debut, ‘Boy Named Goo’, does not fit easily into one genre. Boy Named Goo is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
Burnin’ Up is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything The Goo Goo Dolls released so far. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Flat Top - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Impersonality pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. I love the melodic melody of Name and to this day it makes me feel good. Only One is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Ain’t That Unusual has a fun tempo. In So Long the music gets its power. Get Boy Named Goo and turn on Eyes Wide Open if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Disconnected is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Slave Girl is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Boy Named Goo.
