This is the first studio album from The Church since bad diagnosis in 1994. There is no doubt that The Church has talent. While no new The Church album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1994 tour in Australia. Sometime Anywhere is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
Lost My Touch one of the best in my collection. Loveblind as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Musically My Little Problem is superior to other tracks in Sometime Anywhere. The Maven is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Angelica on Sometime Anywhere is solid and easy to listen to. Lullaby is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Eastern to me is the best you can get from The Church. Once you hear Two Places At Once, you will listen to it over and over. Business Woman is probably the most interesting track on Sometime Anywhere. After about the third Authority listen through, I began to believe this song is The Church’s essence. Fly Home I just LOVE this mix! The Dead Man’s Dream is a fine track on any terms.
