While no new The Chieftains album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1992 tour in Asia. There were many famous songs of The Chieftains available. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of The Chieftains energies, virtually a rebirth. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
When I listen to I Can’t Stop Loving You in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Wabash Cannonball gives taste of what makes The Chieftains special as a musician. The Chieftains breathes new life into the music in Heartbreak Hotel. Goodnight Irene is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Cunla - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Cotton-Eyed Joe - My least favorite song on this album. Tahitian Skies - arguably the best track on Another Country album. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Paddy’s Green Shamrock Shore one of the best in my collection. Finale is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit.
