‘Twenty Two Hits Of The Carpenters’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Twenty Two Hits Of The Carpenters is an amazing album, racked with beauty. This -song debut EP shows the promise that The Carpenters has. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
This song stands out greatly from the others. Touch Me When We’re Dancing - A catchy, upbeat tune. For All We Know is one of the best records ever. Jambalaya (On The Bayou) is The Carpenters’s best work in years. There’s A Kind Of Hush is simply gorgeous. Opening track Hurting Each Other shows the best of The Carpenters. Music of Please Mr. Postman is gentle, never overbearing. Solitaire sets the tone for the entire album. I Won’t Last A Day Without You is one of the more up-tempo songs on Twenty Two Hits Of The Carpenters. The song feels complete. This Masquerade has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Its Going To Take Some Time - To me, this is the best song on the Twenty Two Hits Of The Carpenters. Song Goodbye To Love is actually a funny song. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. I love the melodic melody of Only Yesterday and to this day it makes me feel good. Once Sing gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Rainy Days And Mondays - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Superstar catches attention immediately, We’ve Only Just Begun - arguably the best track on Twenty Two Hits Of The Carpenters album. I Need To Be In Love is another favourite of mine.
