I am not a real Country music type of person, but i have to admit ‘We Have Ignition’ really is amazing. ‘We Have Ignition’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. This -song debut EP shows the promise that The Byrds has. Smart music for smart people.
Best song on the album, love it. Chimes Of Freedom was the first single release from the album We Have Ignition. I came to like She Has A Way. The first time I listened to All I Really Want To Do I was struck by its gorgeous sound. Spanish Harlem Incident has a fun tempo. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue hits the heart. In She Don’t Care About Time it becomes nowhere more obvious that The Byrds has yet to define own style. Turn! Turn! Turn! is marvelous and different song. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Lay Down Your Weary Tune is beautiful, yet underrated track. Although He Was A Friend Of Mine is very melodic it is far from sad. Voice of The Byrds in The World Turns All Around Her is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. The Day Walk (Never Before) is a bit of a show-tune. The Times They Are A-Changin’ - A catchy, upbeat tune. When I listen to I Know My Rider in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Eight Miles High. Why one is one of the better boring ones. Psychodrama City is a fine track on any terms. I See You is excellent work of The Byrds. I hope to keep hearing The Byrds works for a long time to come.
