There is so much to love about The Breeders, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. On the Slovakia charts, superstar The Breeders’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. John Digester has compared writing for The Breeders’s new album to that on ‘Pod’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. If I may, I suggest “Glorious”. That one song is amazing!
This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. The Breeders is hitting on all cylinders in Happiness Is A Warm Gun. Oh! is outstanding work of The Breeders. The Breeders offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Fortunately Gone. Album opener Iris is a bright, upbeat ditty. The song Opened ending is my favorite… so catchy! Still going through Pod and coming to appreciate Only In 3’s more and more with every listen. In Lime House it becomes nowhere more obvious that The Breeders has yet to define own style. Metal Man is worth the money.
