It has been fifteen years The Breeders’ last studio CD, “Cannonball” which won Array Emmy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. I am not a real Indie music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Cannonball’ really is amazing. This is one of the best Cd’s The Breeders has dropped to date. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Cannonball - A classic The Breeders track. Saints is a good listen every once in a while. Hag have really caught my ear and imagination. Charming song, great melody. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Within the first few notes of Doe it’s perfectly clear that The Breeders is living this song. I love the melodic melody of Lime House and to this day it makes me feel good. Glorious rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Music and lyrics of Doe creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Once Hellbound gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Safari - I just love it. Happiness Is A Warm Gun one is one of the better boring ones. Unreleased is really the reason why I recommend buying Cannonball. Music of Do You Love Me Now is gentle, never overbearing. The Breeders offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Fortunately Gone (2:01) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. I was truly moved when I heard I Just Wanna Get Along. When I Was A Painter - A strong beat. The Breeders must have run out of lyrics on the next track Lime House. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Cannonball is Iris. Opened is a bit of a show-tune.
