While no new The Brecker Brothers album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1994 tour in Asia. Since completing 1994’s ‘Slang’, The Brecker Brothers fulfilled their contract with Sparrow Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This album has some very good songs like Slang and Evocations. I Love Out Of The Loop from start to finish!
As always, The Brecker Brothers’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Scrunch is worth the money. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. African Skies defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. When It Wos is a bit different from The Brecker Brothers stereotypical stuff. This song may be the most meaningful. The Nightwalker is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. And Then She Wept - This one makes me want to not only sing along.
