There is so much to love about The Black Crowes, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. After seeing Sting Me, I had to have a good The Black Crowes cd. On the England charts, superstar The Black Crowes’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Such great and happy songs.
Remedy is the song that really did it for me. Thorn In My Pride - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Bad Luck Blue Eyes Goodbye is really the reason why I recommend buying The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion. The Black Crowes has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. In Hotel Illness full palet of sound is used by The Black Crowes to accentuate the presentation. This track is clearly meant to showcase The Black Crowes’s vocal abilities. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Time Will Tell is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Sting Me (Slow) - Okay, I just talked about depth. 99 Lbs still maintains something of a specific flourish.
