It’s natural for The Band to take a stab at ‘Who Do You Love’ considering her long-professed love for Ultra Dolphins. Lead single “Who Do You Love” and “Do The Honky Tonk” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Self-described as Country with lots of words, The Band comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Enjoy the show.
This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. He Don’t Love You - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Katie’s Been Gone the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Bessie Smith is such a cool and optimistic song that things can get just better. This is probably my favorite song on the album. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Ain’t No Cane On The Brazos from the beginning to the end. Slippin’ and Slidin’ - Okay, I just talked about depth. Twilight is possibly the best song The Band has come up. The song Back To Memphis ending is my favorite… so catchy! I find myself hearing bits of Too Wet To Work here and there throughout my waking hours. Loving You Is Sweeter Than Ever is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Don’t Ya Tell Henry is a strong cut, one of many. I like Endless Highway because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. She Knows is one of the best records ever. This song stands out greatly from the others. The Band has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is The Weight. If you are a The Band fan, you will love The Last Waltz Refrain. Such hits like Theme From The Last Waltz will leave you hooked.
