This disc has all of the essential The Art Of Noise classics. It’s natural for The Art Of Noise to take a stab at ‘Instruments Of Darkness (the prodigy mix)’ considering her long-professed love for 2 Unlimited. While no new The Art Of Noise album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1991 tour in Australia. Another great offering from The Art Of Noise.
Yebo (lateplude 2; a mark gamble mix) is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything The Art Of Noise released so far. Roller 10 (the rhythmatic mix) hits the heart. I think Back To Backbeat (the robert gordon mix) is the best song The Art Of Noise has ever done. Shades Of Paranoimia (the carl cox mix) the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Ode To A DJ (lateplude 2; a mark gamble mix) is one of the coolest songs The Art Of Noise has ever recorded. When I listen to Catwalk (the ground mix) in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. This is probably my favorite song on the album. The Art Of Noise sings his heart out in Legs (the graham massey mix). One listen to the sheer beauty of L.E.F. (the mark brydon mix) was all I needed. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Crusoe (the lfo mix) actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on The Art Of Noise’s face. The Art Of Slow Love (compiled and remixed by youth) is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. There is marvelous mix of music in No Sun (lateplude 4; a mark gamble mix).
