On The Ambient Collection album, The Art Of Noise have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. There were many famous songs of The Art Of Noise available. Since The Art Of Noise last CD (The Ambient Collection) on Sparrow Records back in 1990, I have felt a massive void in my life. The Ambient Collection constantly brilliant.
Lyrics of Opus For 4 are precise and evocative. Nothing Was Going To Stop Them - My least favorite song on this album. Crusoe gives good insight into the truths. Island is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Musically Camilla is superior to other tracks in The Ambient Collection. Ode To Don Jose is one of these floating songs. Counterpoint is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. I listened to the opening track Roundabout 727 - Ransom In The and liked it a lot. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on The Ambient Collection is Eye Of A Needle. Robinson Crusoe sets the tone for the entire album. A Nation Rejects - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Art Of Love (7” edition) - arguably the best track on The Ambient Collection album.
