‘Melrose’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Tangerine Dream on ‘Melrose’. Since completing 1990’s ‘Melrose’, Tangerine Dream fulfilled their contract with Virgin Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Melrose and Three Bikes in the Sky is really good.
Three Bikes in the Sky is so unique, as each one of the songs is. This song may be the most meaningful. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Electric Lion defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Rolling Down Cahuenga is outstanding work of Tangerine Dream. Art of Vision is absolutely incredible. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Tangerine Dream offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself.
