While no new Swamp Terrorists album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1993 tour in South America. Lead single “Pale Torment” and “Cynic Forage” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Swamp Terrorists on ‘Pale Torment’. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Combat Shock.
Cynic Forage is cool work of Swamp Terrorists. Right Here has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Blew our minds when we first heard Spawn. This song is dynamic and dramatic. Ptsd is another favourite of mine. Liberator is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. All of songs on Combat Shock and have something to say letting alone Pant To Injure. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Some call Jerks Ever Win from Combat Shock as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Swamp Terrorists has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Comeback (Blot Remix) (11:35) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. This song may be the most meaningful. Ptsd (Back In Solitude) - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem.
