After debuting at No. 1 last week, Stoppok’s album Silber falls to No. 2 with 705,000, a sales slide of 77%. Since completing 1995’s ‘Sansibar’, Stoppok fulfilled their contract with Sparrow Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Silber is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Silber.
It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. … Und Retour on Silber is solid and easy to listen to. Modern, Modern is really the reason why I recommend buying Silber. I love the melodic melody of Lied Von Den Grinsenden Fischen and to this day it makes me feel good. Du In Schuld - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Stoppok. Musically High O Pie is superior to other tracks in Silber. Eine Schnulze is Stoppok’s best work in years. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Affen In Ruh. No Stoppok song has come close to capturing my attention as Adam Und Eva did. Some call Hieb from Silber as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. This is one hell of a track. Silber is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Stoppok released so far. Erzaehl’s Deim’ Frisoer one is one of the better boring ones.
