‘Maestros Del Jazz Blues (Vol.5)’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Lead single “Time On My Hands” and “It s Autumn” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Stan Getz. This album is a scorcher!
Stan Getz sings his heart out in It s Autumn. Stella By Starlight is possibly the best song Stan Getz has come up. Body And Soul is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. There is cool mix of music in Lover Come Back To Me. Autumn Leaves one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. These Foolish Things is pretty funky and mellow. Blew our minds when we first heard Hymn Of The Orient. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Fools Rush In, which shows, blatantly, how much Stan Getz has evolved as a singer. Stars Fell On Alabama can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Stan Getz is all about. Overall a nice softer song. I love the melodic melody of Lullaby Of Birdland and to this day it makes me feel good. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Nice and different song. Yvette sets the tone for the entire album. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor.
