Mila Sparrow has compared writing for Sri Chinmoy Bhajans Singers’s new album to that on ‘Bhajan Mandala’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. After seeing Ganesh, I had to have a good Sri Chinmoy Bhajans Singers cd. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Sri Chinmoy Bhajans Singers on ‘Ganesh’. It is very deep stuff - very exciting
Some of the arrangements found on Bhajan Mandala are surprisingly edgy. All of songs on Bhajan Mandala and have something to say letting alone Ramachandra. Bhuta Natha Bhava is a striking and quite long song. When I listen to Ongkar in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Abirbhuta is the albums biggest surprise. A fantastic track full of wonder. Gyanete Radhika very upbeat. After few listenings I started to like Ami Bandini more and more. Mata Mata Dasha - another great track from the Bhajan Mandala album. Once you hear Krishna Name, you will listen to it over and over. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Joy Krishna is cool song though, very addictive. Rama Raghava - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Nandi Bhringi is the cool blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. If you are a Sri Chinmoy Bhajans Singers fan, you will love Kanu Kukur. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Maje Amar is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. When listening to Kali Kukur, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song.
